I have to say that Turkish cinema is very advanced the latest years!Directors such as Fatih Akin and Nuri Bilge Ceylan with lots of awards have made the difference...
Also the latest years i notice many co-productions in cinema between turks and greeks...The ''Guz Sancisi'' was a film about the episodes in Istanbul in the 50-ies... I hope that someone is intrested about this kind of topic? -------------------- bu hayat anlamsiz bir saka!

The best film I've seen this year was "Sonbahar". Strongly advised.

In Guz Sancisi, the main Greek female protagonist was a whore in line with typical Turkish stereotypes.[1] A Greek born in Turkey, Herkül Millas(obvious Turkicizing of Hercules) did a study of the image of Greeks in Turkish novels. The dominant portrayl of Greek women is that they are whores, except when they convert to Islam, when it is possible for them to be respectable and virtuous.[2]
I am sure as a Greek women so interested in Turkish culture you will enjoy reading the scores of Turkish novels where you can see that true role of Greek women in this world is as "born whores"(unlike Turks who are born soldiers, honest, hard-working, virtuous, like all Turks of course). Just stick to pretending to date a Turkish girl while miraculously taking up all the same positions a Turkish Jew would have to like:
bad Armenian diaspora / good Turkish conquered pet Armenians scared of their shadow bad America, bad Israel(that host more than 1/2 of world World Jewry) / good Turkiye, good Turkish Jewry(really another hostage minority of Turkey/Turks) And leave me alone, unless you want a verbal lashing again. Yes, truly that was a fearsome "verbal lashing". Not really comprehensible, but fearsome. The Armenian diaspora is not bad. Any more than the Jewish diaspora is bad. Obviously I'm more fond of the latter diaspora. I dislike rabid Armenian nationalists, just like most other flavours of rabid nationalist. 2. Israel is a big chunk of world Jewry. Nazi Germany was also a big chunk of the world's German speakers. Do I have to support Nazi policy or else be labeled a racist against Germans? 3. I do indeed dislike America, like most PEOPLE ON EARTH, but I am very fond of American Jews, much more so than Turkish Jews, who strike me as far more counterrevolutionary and bourgeois. There's at least one Turkish Jew I like quite a bit. And despite what YOU may wish, not everyone who doesn't ceaselessly defend global capitalism and its ceaseless attack on the third world, not everyone who cares if Palestinian children live or die, is a Jihadi Turk. Now kindly go fuck yourself. I am in no mood to tolerate more American propaganda. One thing I'll say for Nikephoros. He's good at reminding me why I prefer Turks to Yanks. Since I feel a tremendous amount of (tremendously Jew-y) guilt around the persecution of Palestinians, I naturally wish to be surrounded with groups (leftist Israelis, Turks, Greeks, the Irish) who don't mock people who Israel kills.
Unlike Americans, who on the left largely pretended Rachel Corrie's death didn't occur, and on the right dubbed her "Saint Pancake". An other song for Nikephoros: Edit: The first copy was uploaded by someone whose name contains "Bosnia". The sound cuts out halfway. The working copy is uploaded by a user named "Yusoslavija". It seems even YOUTUBE works better RETROACTIVELY in a united Jugoslavija. Actually the Burger King in Turkey is so much better than the ones in the US. Try the one in Bilkent Plaza or some other tikki neighborhood next time. order a side of "aci sos" and "sarimsakli mayonez". Yeah. Back to Turkish cinema. I've seen precious few Turkish films. Yol was good as well. Mostly my lady shows me old Turkish scenes on youtube which are funny.
