i strongly felt the need to open this thread because we have recently read about the violations of the human rights of Kurdish guerillas by the Turkish army.

On the other hand we should not forget the innocent Turks who lost their lives because of the murderous activities of the Kurdish guerillas.

Both of those group of people (Turks and Kurds) seem to have their own reasons for acting in this particular way .
The Kurds claim that they are acting in this way because of their struggle for independence . The Turks claim that they have every right to punish the "terrorists" the way they think is best and that RKK rebells fully deserve what they get.

of course there is a minority of both groups which disaproves violence no matter where it comes from.

my question to both Kurds and Turks is if they think that they could solve their problems without the use of violence and without violating human rights as well.

In my point of view both groups are not right since they use violence as a mean of solution but on the other hand what are the main alternatives in order to reach a final solution to the Kurdish problem?

i would like to hear the opinions of the Turkish and Kurdish members as well

then what you thought was wrong , this thread was meant to be an attempt on my behalf to initiate a discussion between the Turkish and Kurdish members, my motives were sincere i dont know if i succeed in beggining a conversation about this serious issue, given to the limited participation of the Turkish and Kurdish members probably i have failed, but thats not my fault because when you are sincere about something and your motives are good then you feel the sense that you have done your duty no matter what the final result (concerning the participation) in a thread may be.

By opening this thread i gave you the opportunity to say your opinion or your thoughts about this issue, instead of getting this opportunity you choose to call me a muppet and as you said you agree with Boomerang that im a muppet.

I was serious with all of what I said in the other thread. If you think I wasn’t, may be you are not reading things right, and for some reason this doesn’t surprise me. There is plenty for you to digest there and ask kurdi for some contribution in here.

Let me start it off for you and reiterate : There is no discrimination towards Kurds in Turkey. SE region and Kurds get plenty of funding from the Turkish government. PKK is the root of the problem as it stands today and makes it very difficult for further progress to take place. Kurdish leaders should renounce and condemn PKK to take advantage of their representation in the Parliament and EU’s pressure on Turkey.
