that was one of the theories, others placed the sun as the centre of the solar system....also the Christian religion based on some of the Greek stellar theories, also held this as lore till much later, they even persecuted Galileo and Copernicus for theories against what they held as given...

But I wasn't taking a swipe towards the ancient Greeks for believing such things, but trying to make a point about those very few modern Greeks who've decided to revive the old pagan religion and somehow claim the title of "ethnic Hellenes". Do they really believe the Sun is dragged across the sky in chariot ridden by Apollo or that Mt Olympus is the abode of the Twelve Gods? Of course not. Look at their website. It's obviouse this movement is not spiritual but anti-Christian in a somewhat dim-witted way.
