Manolis is a VERY heavy zeybekiko. And Yedikule (original title: "I foni tou nargile"=the voice of nargile) starts with two totaly wasted guys having a dialogue with the sound of nargile bubbles in the background....

So you Cypriots don't marry without mentioning our names.

I got a 12 CD collection called "Mythos Rembetikos" re Varmvakaris, Tsistanis and Papaioannou. In the latter's CD's there's two songs sung in Turkish by a certain Ilias Eliasoglou, "Gelmenten" and "Karabiberim".

Unfortunetly I couldn't find the songs on Youtube as I thought they would have been worth sharing. But I really found it interesting songs recorded in Turkish in Greece and which were included in this CD compelation. Has anyone heard of Eliasoglou?
