Russian-Turkish admirals meet

The commander in chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Sergeyevich Vysotskiy, was received by his Turkish counterpart, Admiral Metin Ataç, at a military ceremony in Ankara yesterday. During a press conference held prior to a closed-door meeting, Vysotskiy said, “I hope that this meeting will be fruitful, maybe even resulting in a strategic partnership,” adding that relations between the two countries in other fields have already grown to the point that they may be deemed strategic partnerships.
