Today is the first day of Ramazan/Ramadan. I am not a very religious lad myself & won't be doing the festing, but those who do, please throw in a few prayers for the lost souls like myself

Today is also the American non-may-the-1st labor day, but I really don't know what to say about that. Enjoy the discounts, I guess.

I was planning on fasting for the first day only, but i didnt realise it was today and had breakfast already I suppose theres no point in doing it the 2nd day of ramadan so im not going to bother this year. I did try at least.

lol, that's so true, esp. at traffic. But I pitied a guy today who delivered food to my home. He made a mistake and charged me less, I had to shout at him from the window. Fasting this way is surely not so healthy.

But best thing at Ramazan yum yum Ramazan pidesi and some butter inside...hot hot

God, I can almost smell them just from the picture.

Let's not forget the Güllaç, possibly my fav. all time dessert. To this day I don't understand why this treat is limited mostly to Ramadan, we need a radical movement to make the whole year, "Güllaç time" .

I don't like most of these restaurant recipes & their classic French looks-for-taste trade-off. With Güllaç, it's: the milkier the better.

I think I'm going to try & make some ASAP. It's not a very difficult dessert after all.

lol I cant believe I forgot that....this year Ramazan came sneakily...I must immediately eat it tomorrow. It's one of my fave. too. They sell it here ready, you just add milk etc on it. I dunno why it is limited to this period but same goes for Greek xmas dessert melomakarona, yummyyyyyyyyy
