Thank you. If I understand correctly you are saying that nothing happened between one of the princes and Gedik Ahmet's wife and that it was Mahmut's wife that was involved.
I know Gedik Ahmet was killed by Beyazid. They say he did not trust him, though he had helped him get the throne, but they also say Beyazid had a grudge against Gedik Ahmet for publicly insulting him during a campaign (I think the Uzun Hasan one you mentioned). I was wondering if there were other reasons too, like a woman.

according to mehmet the conquerer's law brothers (shehzades) can kill each others. beyazıt fought with his brother Cem sultan for the throne but he couldn't kill him... beyazıt and gedik ahmet discussed in a lunch. beyazıt think gedik ahmet like cem sultan. after lunch beyazıt try to get gedik to prison but janissarys liked gedik much so he couldn't get him to prison... etc... beyazıt lived with fear of death because of cem...
