Looks amazing at first sight but i didn't like it. This stadium can be the end of legendary Çarşı.
And i also don't believe that Demirören will be able to build it. greekturkish/gaah_opt_64.gif

We want something like this. A real hell. greekturkish/devilsmile.gif greekturkish/grilled.gif

it doesnt blend with the surrounding environment. it should be something that would remind the city , i dont know how and what but that just seems it landed from the sky

Looks really shit, and doesnt fit with the surrounding area.. i agree with you prosofigasasasas.

BJK has NO RIGHT to fuck up INONU !!! its constantly voted as one of the most beautiful stadiums in Europe !! Whats wrong with you people ??????? all it needs is a proper roof and a good lick of new paint on the outside.

take a look at the little palace on the right lower corner and then the stadium. i dont know lately all football stadiums look the same to me , thats not nice.

We can currently watch an amazing bosphorus view from the stands. It won't be possible in this one. We definitely need a better stadium that fits with the surrounding area. But we also have to earn from the stadium and current one is not appropriate for UEFA standards. It will collapse one day if we keep on doing this.

Pele has been quoted to say that because of the view from inside the stadium, Inönu was the most beautiful football arena in the world. I think they should leave the original shape alone, perhaps expand on the sides to accomodate around 5000 fans more on each side (iki kat). No more is needed.

How will this be the end of Carsi, Dome?

Raven- 02-29-2008
out of interest is Alen Markaryan still the head of çarşi?

I wonder why most stadiums built today have to have this futuristic look about them.I think it would be great if stadiums were built to maybe reflect the surroundings ,and also the history of the country its being built in.Maybe in Russia they could have onion tops for the roof,or in greece corinthian pillars,or in turkey adesign reflecting the rich ottoman past. Here in Australia they could reflect uumm.....meat pies and sandy beaches(lol).
i just think some originality is required here and not this continued churning out of these UFO like erections.

sometimes it is difficult to incorporate traditional designs into modern buildings.

i think traditional designs representing the historical architecture of a particular country should be reserved for the national stadiums.

it could use red bricks and somewhat not that modern rooftop , also from what i see the space is limited there and disturbs the view from sea...not so good for the tourists IMHO.

stadiums should be built in open cheap areas to provide sufficient parking , services and interconnections with infrastructure.

Car parking is another very important issue I agree. Here in melbourne we have several stadiums within a few kilometres of each other with very limited parking, thus we are obliged to use a rather unreliable public transport system
