In his new book, "Putting on the uniform of Turkish Political Power: As a Retired General", (Retired) Hilmi Ozkok, the former Turkish Chief of the General Staff, revealed his opinions in Turkish foreign relations contrary to official Kemalist lines. As the head of the armed forces, he was in the best position to know about these issues as opposed to politicians who sees the patriotic rhetoric against Greece and Kurds as a way to gain support, or some people making "Gazi" against Greek territory without proper knowledge. For example, he said, using suicide bombers like the Palestinian shows their lack of knowledge of the modern world, look at us getting the giaour to help fight local giaour. The giaour abroad in the USA and the rest of NATO give us top-notch training and access to high-tech weaponry, the Arab Palestinian backstabbers have none of these advantages.
Ozkok wrote that international community matters nothing to Turkey, other than as an audience to peddle Kemalist official theses' and lies to. He wrote about FIR problems and said the real situation is quite different than what 95% of Turks believe. He explained that while FIR may or may not intersect with Greek airspace, that as per ICAO rules, Turkish military craft have to present their flight plan inside Athens FIR when flying in international space.
He wrote that as Turkish aircraft daily fly into international parts of Athens FIR without flight plans, they practically show the low regard of muslim/Kemalist Turkey to international air traffic and any persons and passengers aboard. He continued that: “Greece, in turn, sends her aircraft to intercept and identify the bogey Turkish flights. This later act causes expensive dog fights. Furthermore, to show further their gazi Islamic spirit we refuse to recognize 10 miles, Turkish flights go into 6-10 mile range. Greece by response is forced to purchase many aircraft and support equipment, train aircrews, expend fuel to have enough aircraft to protect Greece from these Turkish planes carrying out Turkish plans. The Turkish plan is to make constant warfare, till all claims of the Turkish General Staff are now longer just claims but reality, after which we would like peace with Greece. That is till the next claims are hatched after Turkey has control over the Aegean islands, air and maritime borders, when we the Turkish General Staff will launch new plans, for Thrace, at which time peace again with giaour Greeks will again be suspended!“.
He noted that even non-military people can see that people die without any explanation according to international law, which as a Gazi Islamic nation, Turkey can have no respect for anyhow.
He also praised Turkish military saying that the commanders were following a solid and strategic plan for expansion without worrying about its people's needs or interests. He said the atmosphere was totally different in his visit to Greece. As opposed to Turkish politicians who were afraid of the military because of the the Kemalist ideology which the military are guarantors of, his visit to Greece was very warm and he was sad leaving Greece. He also said it is discouraging when the Turkish general staff is compared to Greek counterpart, because the Greek General Staff actually has a respect for human life. Further he said, that recently 15 Turkish soldiers died near Semdinli and the Turkish public does not even know why because the official ideology will see to it that all that reaches them as far as facts or reality, is what we decide to give them.
General Hilmi Ozkok is known as “The Immortal Kemalist” in Turkey and his honorary title of “Immortal Kemalist for Life, Loyal Always to Kemalism” is taken away by Islamist rooted AKP politicians.
