Hundreds of Jerusalem Christians are loosing residency rights in their City due to policies of the Israeli Ministry of Interior. The policy that aims to reduce the number of non-Jews in the City takes its toll on families and individuals who hold residency permits at foreign countries. No matter how long they travel abroad, no matter if they were born in Jerusalem before or after Israel occupied East Jerusalem, they are considered visitors in their own city. Palestinian Christians who make today not more than 9,000 will lose 15% of their population as a result of this policy. While Jews from all over the world and even converts to Judaism are allowed to immigrate to Israel under the Israeli Law of Return, the indigenous Jerusalemites are considered temporary residents. Originally, Seven years of being out of Jerusalem was the deadline for losing one's right to live in his own city. Now, only a proof of residency in another country is enough for Israel to consider Jerusalem as not "the center of life" for this person or family and thus deny them the right of living in their home town once they travel abroad. In addition to this particular policy, the Israeli authorities are still implementing other regulations aiming at further decreasing the numbers of Palestinian, Christians and Moslems, in Jerusalem. From freezing the law of family reunion to impossible requirements for building in the city, to the Separation Wall that separated hundreds from the center of Jerusalem. Palestinian Christians of the city will soon lose half of their population.

Israel: Council warns Jewish girls against romance with Arabs Kiryat Gat, 1 July (AKI) - A new school programme to prevent Jewish girls from becoming romantically involved with Israeli Bedouin Arabs has started in the town of Kiryat Gat in central Israel. A report by Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth on Tuesday says that the city's welfare representative, police and council officials, are touring schools with a video called "Sleeping with the Enemy" to educate young women. The 10-minute film, features a police officer and a woman from the US-based religious organisation, Yad Leachim, which works to prevent Jewish girls from dating Muslims. The video uses -*test*-('")imonies from young women whose Bedouin boyfriends allegedly did not allow them to return home after ending the relationship. "The girls, in their innocence, go with the exploitative Arab, the exploitative Bedouin, and she goes to bed with the enemy, which she doesnt know," said Chaim Shalom, who heads the municipality's community, welfare and health department. "Whoever calls this racism doesn't know what they are talking about, because this isn't a matter of mutual exploitation" said Shalom. "This is a matter of racism on their (Arabs) end, because they come here to exploit the girl, get rid of her once she gets pregnant and this entire problem becomes a double problem." It also allegedly uses numerous passages from the Islamic holy book, the Koran, warning Islam's alleged 'danger' to women. Arab Bedouins, a small minority within the Israeli Arab population, are citizens of Israel and many of them serve in the Israeli Defence Forces. Nevertheless, local police have endorsed the project. "Their (Arab) goal is to take advantage of the girls," a police officer said. "There is no element of love or an innocent friendly relationship here." However, the Mayor of the southern Israeli city of Rahat, Talal al-Krenawi, an Israeli Bedouin, said he also did not support relationships between Jews and Bedouins. "It hurts our families just like it hurts the Jews. It causes a lot of difficult problems and internal conflicts which often end in violence," he said. "If there are children as a result of these relationships, it becomes a burden on our society. The difference is that we oppose this just like the Jews, but we never used racist expressions.......a person is allowed to live with whomever he wants. In any case, one can oppose something without presenting racist opinions," concluded al-Krenawi.

U.S.-based group plans to challenge Gaza blockade with boats from Cyprus ATHENS, Greece — A group of U.S.-based activists said Tuesday it will challenge Israel's blockade of the Palestinian territory by sailing boats from Cyprus to Gaza next week. The Free Gaza group said it will make the trip in two Greek-flagged boats, after raising most of the $300,000 needed for the voyage from private donations. Paul Larudee, one of the event's organizers, said the group will deliver 100 hearing aids to a Palestinian charity as a form of humanitarian aid. "Israel says it's pulled out its soldiers from Gaza so they should have no objection to us going there," said Larudee, whose group is based in El Cerrito, Calif. "We have been in contact with the authorities in Greece, in Cyprus and with the Palestinians ... There is no reason to contact the Israeli authorities because we will not be using their territory." About 40 people from 16 countries, including Israelis and Palestinians, would take part in the event, he said during a news conference in Athens, adding that private boats were also invited to join the activists. Israel imposed a blockade on Gaza after Hamas came to power last year. Free Gaza organizer Greta Berlin said the group had bought two wooden sailboats that had been renamed for the voyage: The 21-metre Free Gaza and 18-metre Liberty. The boats will sail from the Cypriot port of Larnaca to Gaza on Aug. 6 or 7, Berlin said. "Our primary reason is for human rights but we will also carry a small amount of aid - 100 hearing aids that will be given to Palestinian children." She said one aim was to create a permanent maritime link between Cyprus and Gaza. The activists have prepared publicity events if the trip to Gaza is blocked by Israel, Berlin said, including the release of 5,000 balloons from the boats. If the ship is prevented from reaching Gaza, "we'll stay for 10 days at sea ... Then we'll go back to Cyprus and try again," she said. In 1988, the Palestinian Liberation Organization staged an unsuccessful effort to sail from Cyprus to the Israeli port of Haifa. The ship, named the Sol Phryne, was damaged in a mine attack in the Cypriot port of Limassol. A day earlier, three PLO officers were killed in Limassol by a bomb planted in their car. That voyage had been timed to coincide with 40 years since the founding of Israel. Next week's trip will mark the 60th anniversary, organizers said Tuesday. http://canadianpress.google.com/article/AL...zfR3Rxdads3UhuQ

Yep it's really annoying how far you go with your genocide card. Get one and you're basically free to roam and kill, deport and be a racist cunt as much as you like. It's like moral immunity. And, it doesn't hurt that you have the most powerful lobby in the world backing you. What do these poor worthless Philistinians have? No genocide card, no lobby, no money... You can't claim that these Israeli Jews are the victims here. Sure, both sides have acted like assholes over the years but the Israelis are particularly shameless when it comes to being dicks.
