So? The yellow marker clearly suggests that the Kalash are very different with adjacent populations. And just because the study is a few months older it does not mean it is not true. Unless you are qualified to judge his work that is and can point out any mistakes in his paper. Note, that I am not supporting any side in this issue. I merely pointed out that there is disagreement in the academic community. Something that your rather dogmatic (first) post does not show. A classic example of cherrypicking evidence to fit your predetermined presumption.

all modern day ethnic groups irregardless of where they are in the world have come into being through a certain degre of acculturalizaion of various different peoples.
all modern day Greeks are descendants of various peoples who have become Hellenized throughout history.
all modern day Turks are descendants of various peoples who have become Turkicized throughout history, nobody is "pure".

in theory it is perfectly possible for a random Turk and Greek to be genetically closer to each other than to another one of their countryman.

i did not claim they were some kind of Trojan Horse and nor did i claim to be an expert on the Arvanites. if you read what i wrote accurately i was curious about their allegiances due to their Albanian origins. i never said something like "the Arvanites will definitely stab you in the back if a conflict erupted between Greece and Albania" now did i?

the fact that the Kalash differ fom their adjacent neighbors is clear, you only have to look at their appearance to see that, but that does not mean that they have ancestry from another part of the world or that they arent native to the region.

studies which are carried out more recenty are evaluated with results gathered from past studies being kept in mind and are therefore more reliable than older studies

There was a point in time, the WAFF years and the beginning of this forum where I would get angry at every post and sit and write an essay here as a response and an essay to that response, i would sit hours reading up on google any source that supported my line of argument and if in the library attempt to find books also. Those days are long long gone.
