Don't be delusional On one hand you tell us that Greeks have no desires towards Turkish Lands and then turn around and say that Turks have greater desire for Greek lands. This is nothing more than the consolation prize to Megali Idea: You realized you can't accomplish the MEGALI dream so instead you turned it around to this idea that the Turks were after Greek lands. How else could you justify what Greece ( a little pip-squeek nation) spends on armaments. The proportion is absolutely CRAZY> So I seriously suggest you examine the heads of Greek generals and politicians for justifying the spending based on this unrealistic expecation of a great Turkish Mongolian Attack that will never come. We dont' have any claims against Greece because we don't think shit of your strength. We only have an issue with your maritime zone issues, but that's all busines related and nothing else. Just to clarify the Turkish position for the benefit of you, and the entire forum.

Constantinople was a powerfull city. Athens was and is a legendary city. Just a look on the Acropolis and I forget about Constantinople in a split second.

No, I'm not delusional at all. Greeks could not give a shit about Asia Minor or Istanbul anymore, anyone who says otherwise is either just trying to wind up a Turk or is smoking some real good shit. On the other hand, we HAVE heard people even in this forum, talk about the Greek islands "suffocating" Turkey, and that there can never be peace without some compromise on the islands, then we also have some bright sparks talking about Western Thrace, hell, there is even a flag: ![]() Now, it might be that it is only 0.5% of Turks who think that way, I hope you are right, but things like this still get published in Turkish newspapers: 21.11.2007 ![]() ![]() I can't see a map of greater Greece incorporating Asia Minor showing up in Eleferotypia anytime soon.

Spartan King If you really think that Turks, deep down inside, seriously think they can do something about the islands or thrace on a permanent basis, you must be crazy. As for the newspaper you posted: 1. hahahaahahahhahahaha. Turkish Newspaper as a source? You might as well as cite National Enquirer as a source too. 2. If you understood that map on the paper, it says "Al sana harita" which means "Take this Map instead". It's a reaction to the Kurdish Maps that are widely circulated which swallows half of Turkey. This was the newspaper's tongue-in-cheek response to that map. And Greeks get it too, because it just appeals to the masses. But the masses know that maps are pretty much set and it will be maintained. Thus the whole war with the Kurds.
