The Australian team is complaining about the refereeing in the shooting events.
They claim the refs are being swayed by the "loud" Chinese crowd.
I guess it didn't happen in Sydney, because Sydney 2000 was perfect..
Just typical Australian bad-sportsmanship when things don't go their way.

Yesterday Michael Gross,the most successfull german athlete ever said he "stopped to take the olympic games serious" since the degree of doping has becoming rediculous...

He said something like "we should close the shop and go home"..

I said it years ago..the "olympic games" should stop to be a sports event only.
They (the IOC)should be honest and they should also include all the companies who develop the chemical substances..
Something like "Gold goes to Balco with Michael Phelps".

Sportsmen,scientists for chemical stuff and genetics...the whole team for the medal!
Maybe something like the oscar event..there is also the actor,the writer,the effects specialists etc..

i personally think there all on drugs, except for ping pong, badmington etc...you could pick those on drugs in those sports easily, huge biceps on one side

what amazes me is the intentional scrutiny placed on the greek team...i mean why would the Greek team use M3, a known steriod for over a decade now, basic, easy to -*test*-('") for etc....

what were cheats, cheap asses and incompetant as well? or is it a case Greek athletics shook the powerhouses of sport and its payback time? the notion that only Blacks from the Americas can win running medals..?

having said that, i dont believe Greek athletes are any cleaner or dirtier than others....they just got targeted....

it amazes me that china, who still is stuck in the cold war communist mentality of sports, has had a total of 3 atheletes caught....why?

it has been proven they have bribed Australian swim coaches for training programs and plans and used them to win races traditionally won by Aussies and Yanks...the chinese will stop at nothing to win...

so in my opinion, the olympics are a sham...political, corrupt and a shadow of what they should really be.....

I actually agree most are on drugs.
What, one guy can break a world record, while others who are caught on drugs can't? And the guy who breaks the record is supposed to be clean? Nai siga and I have a 52 inch penis.

I think the Greek athletes have been targeted as well, not because they shook the powerhouses and its pay back, but because they did surprise everyone, especially in athletics. It brought attention to them, in sports we never really were represented well in, in the past.

You know why Ian Thorpe, Phelps, and others will never be caught? Because if the biggest names in the world are drug cheats, it will turn people off. Who will want to watch the Olympics or buy tickets to go watch? To see what, who has the better drugs?
Then think of the sponsorship and endorsement deals. How will they sell their products? With a drug cheat as the face of Adidas etc?

There is too much vested, too much money on the line, for the biggest names in sport to be caught. Who runs and has influence in the sporting organizations? The same countries that are always performing so well at these events.
Do you think Greece, a country which has not historically been a powerhouse at the modern Olympics, has influence? If we did, it would have been Athens 1996, not the vlakia Atlanta 1996. Maybe if Greece was an economic/political power beyond the Balkans and Eastern Europe, but it aint.

And yes I do think Thorpe was a drug cheat, and I do think Phelps is too.
Remember not long ago Thorpe was practically named a drug cheat, then it was all hushed up and blamed on a "lab error" and nothing more heard about it. tsk tsk.


The Olympics means nothing now. It is just about sponsors and money.
Anyway who cares, there's practically no drug-free sport left.
