| Ancient Greek culture/society for the most part remains open to much speculation, and a lot of what we know or indeed perceive about it is based really on our ancestors art. But the real distortion lies in the fact we try to understand a civilization 2,500 years ago by comparing it to today’s world. And realistically the subject of homosexuality in Ancient Greece is ambiguous, hence, why the western Gay movement today does not directly try to comparison with one of the most admired and studied civilizations. Homosexuality was an additional rather then an alternative sexual lifestyle. Even by the art, mainly via pottery, the most common image will show an older man, ie with a beard, fondling a younger man, ie without a beard, rather then visa-versa. Thus many academics have come to accept that even homosexuality in Ancient Greece had its restrictions as to how it was deemed acceptable. |

| Homosexuality was practiced with all nations and tribes...Greeks were the first to document it along with philosophy, mathematics, etc... |
